Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids for those who can't afford them The Albany & Troy Lions Club helps
dozens of people get eye exams and eyeglasses every year, and we're
getting more involved with helping the hearing-impaired, too. If you
know someone who needs a vision or hearing exam, glasses or a hearing
aid but can't afford them, please contact us. And

To you, they're not good for very much, but to the Lions, they're a gift of sight and sound. We collect and reprocess the eyeglasses, and distribute them at no charge to the needy in developing countries around the globe. Your used glasses may provide an adult with the clear vision necessary to maintain employment or give a child the chance to stay in school. Used hearing aids are not part of our international program, but they help those within our immediate service area. We can always use more because the need continues to be critical in many places. If you've got old prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses or a hearing aid collecting dust in some drawer, we can use them, regardless of their condition. Look for our blue and yellow collection box or blue plastic tote at any of these locations. |

If you have used eyeglasses or hearing aids, you can leave them at
any of our collection boxes; you'll find them listed here. But perhaps you'd like to make a monetary contribution to help us
serve the needy. It's a great way to honor or remember someone,
commemorate an event, show your gratitude, wish someone a speed
recovery, or just show that you care. Please mail your check to

"Pennies At A Time" is a website that pays its registered organizations when members of those organizations do their Google searches or make on-line purchases through the "Pennies At A Time" website.
