DG Joan and the Tulip Ball On Saturday, May 9, 2009, District Governor Joan
Scott will serve as Honorary Co-Chairperson of Albany’s 61st
annual Royal Tulip Ball. This event honors the newly crowned Tulip Queen
and her court and pays tribute to Albany’s Dutch heritage. Again this
year, the proceeds of the ball will benefit the Northeastern Association
of the Blind at Albany (NABA). There will be wonderful food, a live and
silent auction, and dancing to the music of the ever-popular New York
