Shoes for the Shoeless project

On Saturday, Dec 5, 2009, A&T Lions Jerry Gordon, Tom Hart, Larry Krug and Terry Page were joined by Bethlehem Lion Rob and Ginni O’Malley as we helped the Sundling family (owners of Delmar Bootery in Stuyvesant Plaza) load over 10,000 pairs of used shoes. Every year around this time, Lion Al O’Neill from the Glasgow, DE, Lions Club drives up with a large trailer. We fill it with the shoes that have been collected over the previous several months, and Lion Al delivers them to the needy in Appalachia.
